Acquired or Abstained (#9)
Maybe the key to not shopping is being on vacation.
Hello hello my friends (all 11 of you!). Since I spent the majority of my week still in Mexico this week and then doing the whole post-vacation reset of groceries, laundry and nursing a sunburn, the carts were slim this week. Yay!
A Tiny Wallet

The one thing I am actively searching for, that in hindsight really should have gone on my 2026 yes buy list, is a new card wallet! The one I currently have is a few years old, and it has served me well. But the little decals on it are just falling off so it’s looking quite worse for wear. The three pictured above are unfortunately all out of my price range, but they really caught my eye! Particularly the Loewe one with the pebble zip I think is very chic and minimal and timeless. One of my favourite TikTok follows, Saff Michaelis, a bougee London mom, recently introduced me to Strathberry, which I think might be a little up and coming this year to the North American girls. My only gripe with it is, the iconic “music bar” detail on every piece actually reminds me of a nipple ring. Then lastly, the other Loewe one with the dual leathers is just a bit more funky and speaks to my inner tiny rebel, it also holds a bit more which might be helpful! So while I’ve abstained from them all, I am on the hunt so now that you’ve caught a vibe I would gladly take a recommendation at a lower price point.

Not sure why they continue to be an open cart for me, but this blouse really caught my eye and I think might make a good option for me for my son’s birthday. Feels feminine and flirty but not quite so in your face as the Mother t-shirt I contemplated back in this post. I’ll circle back to this next week and let you know if I acquire. Does anyone remember the Aritzia Le Fou line? That was my favourite Aritzia era ever and this blouse feels reminiscent of that.
That’s it, that’s all for this week! I do think I also happened to scratch the shopping itch this week as I am starting to purchase the next size up clothing for my son, so I spent a gift card at Carter’s for some new jammies for him, and then a very big order at Zara (some of which will be returned) for some fun clothes! I always thought dressing a little girl would be more fun, and it might be, but since I don’t have experience with that, I will say that dressing my boy is way more fun that I thought! As we approach his birthday too, I would love any insight on what might make a good birthday gift for a one year old! Let me know below.
