Acquired or Abstained (#8)
Coming at you from sunny Mexico and happy Benito Bowl to all who celebrate.
A short one this week as I am spending my time chasing my baby in hot hot Mexico. This is the final month of having a baby, before I have to call him a toddler which means I am really soaking up the sun and my time with family this week.
Between shopping for swim diapers, sunscreen and a new dishwasher, I did make a quick purchase. I finally acquired those loafers from Maguire, that I have mentioned in this previous post. They went on sale and if I’ve learned anything about Maguire, they don’t often bring styles back so now is the time to jump on it! I’m excited to have a casual shoe in my wardrobe that isn’t a sneaker that just changes the vibe of an outfit.
A Wishlist Item Secured Plus One

As mentioned in this post from the beginning of the year, I also said my basics were in need of an update. Okay To Rest, a Canadian female founded loungewear and basics brand. Everything is ethically produced with OEKO-TEX certified fabrics. As mentioned, I love my long sleeves from them a lot so I’m excited to throw out my raggedy tees and have these! However, my obsession with stripes continues and since navy is new to my wardrobe I also added the navy stripe long sleeve to my cart. I think it will go great with my Souvenir Pant for a monochrome look and stripes are a neutral to me. So basics acquired and stripes acquired.
Some Other Things That Caught My Eye
If I could only shop one brand, it would be Donni. This new zip up sweatshirt (the pink is so cutesy but grey for a classic). And this Gap blouse that is giving Doën is reminding me summer is coming. They didn’t quite make it into my cart but are lingering in the brain. I have also been considering simplifying my skincare routine to Ursa Major, with this face wash, this face lotion and this serum, and perhaps an eye cream since I am in my 30’s now.
And as promised, since we are in Mexico, here is an update on the swimsuit! I love how low the back is and it is very breastfeeding friendly if you are cool with it coming down instead of up like a bikini top.

And a few snaps from Mexico as a feed cleanser, and to remind you the sun is coming.

Catch you next week!
